Richard Hart, a proud Kiwi, learned his joinery trade in New Zealand. He then ventured to England and Australia, where he gained extensive experience working with prestigious joinery businesses and even opened his own in Australia. Despite his achievements overseas, Richard’s dream was always to return to New Zealand, bringing with him the best practices he learned abroad.

This dream became a reality when HBH Joinery opened its doors in the rural town of Tarras, Central Otago. Here, Richard has curated a team of expert craftsmen, each essential role to our operations. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and genuine teamwork, which you’ll notice when you see us on site – it’s how we achieve such cohesive and exceptional joinery installations.
